Who We Are
Pet Spa, Boutique, Dog Boarding & Doggie Daycare
Our Mission Statement:
Roman and Martin opened The Red Hydrant in 2005 with unparalleled grooming and an exceptional customer service experience as its goal.
Eight years later, we had outgrown our original location and expanded to a new state of the art facility encompassing 4700 square feet. This location not only allowed for the expansion of groom stations, but also allowed for expansion of additional services as well. The Red Hydrant Boutique for example. The Boutique offers unique gifts and decor for your four-legged friends as well as your two-legged friends. We carry organic treats, shampoos, toys and many other items for your furry friends and unique and one-of-a-kind gifts for you friends and family. Whether you’re searching for a sympathy card, new decor for your home, whimsical dish towels, or dishes for your next Taco Party, we have what you’re looking for and items you didn’t know you wanted but now need!
This location also allowed us to offer Indoor Doggie Daycare. This is an unprecedented service and one that is still unique to The Red Hydrant. At the Red Hydrant, dogs play in a supervised indoor facility with a full-time trained Play Coach. Dog owners don’t have to worry about rainy days, mud, fleas, ticks, pollen or excessive heat. No other day care in the area offers this!
We also added overnight boarding, specifically designed for existing clients, making it the perfect place for your pet when the need arises. Your dog is already familiar with the staff and facility so they come without anxiety and enjoy their time away from home.
MEET OUR TEAM.
Amanda joined the Red Hydrant groom team in 2018 when she relocated from New York. During her career up north she worked in a large facility and worked for over six years as a stylist. It is easy for our clients to see and experience her love and desire to care for the animals.
Amanda is a mom to two fur-babies – Mickey, a Lab beagle mix and Willow, a German Shorthaired Pointer.
A native of Bangor, Maine, Samantha is a new transplant here in the Tampa Bay area. In June of 2019, Samantha and her boyfriend decided to trade in their snowshoes for sunglasses and headed south to sunny skies and endless summer.
After 5 years working with animals, and 4 years of bathing, Samantha joined the Red Hydrant team as a Grooming Assistant where she assists all members of our team and helps provide another layer of professionalism and care for all of our clients. Her love of animals has led her to study Veterinary Technology where she has completed 2 years and will return to finish her degree.
As the owner of an Alaskan Malamute named Steel, a Scottish Terrier named Merlin, and a small cat named Zander, Samantha goes home to her own pack happily waiting to see her every day.
If you don’t see her out riding motorcycles or taking a hike or walk with her dogs, it’s because she’s likely indoors baking or studying her photography.
